*RARE CASED BROWNING WHEEL SIGHT GRADE 3 22 AUTO. SN T31798. Cal. 22, long rifle. 19-3/8″ rnd bbl. with blade front sight & adjustable wheel rear sight. Top of bbl is marked “BROWNING ARMS CO. ST. LOUS MO./MADE IN BELGIUM” with “BROWNING PATENTS” on right side of rear sight and “22 LONG RIFLE” on left. The unsigned grade 3 receiver is leafy vine scroll with shaded background and setter with 3 pheasants on left side and setter with 3 ducks on right side and Spaniel holding a rabbit in mouth on top. Mounted with a nice streaked piece of walnut, skip line checkered pistol grip, and steel serrated buttplate, skip line checkered forend. Housed in a Browning “Hartmann” luggage case with white insert in handle. PROVENANCE: The Wm J. (Bill) Maier Estate Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Near new possibly test fired only. Bbl retains 99% of its orig blue, receiver has 99% of its coin finish. Stock is sound with a couple minor nicks on bottom near toe and retains most of its orig finish. Forend has a few minor light handling marks, and retains most of its fine orig finish. The “Hartmann” case is an equally fine like new condition.
