*RARE RESTORED WINCHESTER MODEL 21 TRAP/SKEET GRADE. SN 3453. Cal. 12 ga. 28″ bbls with tapered, matted, concave rib, silver center & silver front sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, MOD / FULL chokes, sgl selective trigger & ejectors. Top of bbl at chamber area on left bbl “MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / – NEW HAVEN. CONN. – PATENTS PENDING – ” and right bbl “MODEL 21 – WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK – 12 GAUGE”. Standard frame with “TRAP” mark above trigger plate screw & “SKEET” below. Mounted with nicely figured walnut with checkered pistol grip, Winchester solid red recoil pad, gold oval initial plate & diamond checkered beavertail forend. Bore diameter: left -.732, right -.732. Bore restrictions: left -.035, right -.101. Wall thickness: left -.032, right -.036. Drop at heel: 2-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Weight: 7 lbs. 10 oz. LOP 14-1/2″. Accompanied by Cody Firearms Museum letter identifying gun as a 16 ga. trap/skeet grade with straight grip & beavertail; started inspection July 24, 1935, completed Aug. 6, 1935; appears to be some kind of “oops” in factory record. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as restored. Bbls retain nearly all of a fine factory-quality restored blue, with only a few very minor handling marks. Factory-quality restored receiver has great polish & straight crisp lines, retaining virtually all of its restored blue finish. Stock is sound & numbered to gun, with tiny chip behind top tang, with only minor handling marks in its factory-quality restored finish & repointed checkering. Beavertail forend is numbered to gun, has only a few minor handling marks and retains nearly all of its factory-quality restored finish & repointed checkering.
