Cal. 20 ga. 28″ Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel bbls with tapered, matted, concave rib & sgl silver sighting bead, 2-1/2″ chambers, choked MOD / IMP-MOD with dbl triggers & extractors. Standard Sterlingworth receiver with “Sterlingworth” on both sides & the zig zag border engraving. Mounted with nicely figured straight grain walnut with fiddleback, checkered pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap & serrated hard rubber butt plate. Standard checkered splinter forend. Bbl markings at chamber are “Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel” on right and “Made By A. H. Fox Gun Co. Phila. PA. U.S.A.” on left. Bore diameter: left -.619, right -.618. Bore restrictions: left -.024, right -.016. Wall thickness: left -.023, right -.021. Drop at heel: 2-5/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 4 oz. LOP 14-3/8″. PROVENANCE: The David Herrmann Collection. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain most of a very fine, factory quality, restored finish with only a few minor scuffs & a small scratch 9″ from muzzle on left bbl. Receiver is a silver hardening color mixed with case colors in protected areas & across the top. Stock is solid with a very fine restored oil finish. Checkering is fine.
