MASSIVE 7 FRAME PARKER LIFTER HAMMERGUN. SN 79582. Cal. 8 ga., 34″ twist steel bbls, with taper matted concave rib & single brass sighting bead, double trigger & extractors. The book “The Parker Story” by “Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price & Cote” identify this gun as grade PT, under-lifter with 34″ bbl. Rib of bbl marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS.MERIDAN.CONN.TWIST.” Frame has minimal zig-zag border on lock plates and engraved “PARKER BROS.” on each side and “PATD MAR. 28TH 1875″ on trigger plate. Mounted in streaky dark walnut with checkered pistol grip, hard rubber grip cap & Parker’s dog head hard rubber buttplate, checkered splinter forend with steel tip insert. Bore measurements are not available for this gun, weight is 14 lbs. 13 oz. with LOP 13”. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbls have a dark brown patina with a fine twist pattern showing, a few areas rubbed bright & bright under forend. There is a dent about 1/2 way on bottom of right bbl. Receiver is a gray mixed with brown patina. Stock is solid with hairline cracks off of both locks & a minor chip behind top tang, worn checkering, some nicks & dings & minor bruises, shrunk slightly below buttplate, a small hole 1-1/2″ from toe & has a fine hand worn patina finish. Forend is solid, with checkering worn nearly smooth, darkening around forend iron & has a smooth hand worn patina finish. Mechanics are good with orig hammers with dark moderately pitted bores. 4-33451 BDT160 (2,000-3,000)
