Original set of 26″ barrels, have a Churchill rib, and are marked “J.Graham & Co Ltd.” on the right barrel, and “27 Union Street. Inverness.” on the left barrel. Bbl flats show orig nitro proof for 2-1/2″ chambers, and a 1989 London reproof for 2-3/4″. Second set of 26″ barrels have a Churchill rib, and are marked “Griffin & Howe – New York” on the right bbl, and “J.Graham & Co, Ltd” on the left. Bbl flats show Spanish proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers, and are marked “Made in Spain.” The rose and scroll engraved action with hidden third fastener is marked “J.Graham & Co, Ltd” on both lock plates. “Safe” is inlaid in gold on the top tang. The rose and scroll engraved trigger guard is engraved with SN “G.7065.” The nicely striped European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-5/16″ over a checkered horn butt plate, and features drop points and a gold oval engraved with the letters “RDR.” The Anson release splinter forend has checkering and wood to match. Original bbls: Bore diameter: left -.725, right -.725. Bore restrictions: left -.031, right -.002. Wall thickness: left -.025, right -.024. Drop at heel: 2.0″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight:6 lbs 3oz. 2nd set of bbls:Bore diameter: left -.725, right -.726. Bore restrictions: left -..033, right -.022. New canvas and leather, two-barrel case contains an old 3-pc rosewood cleaning rod, marked “Patent Applied For”. PROVENANCE: Copy of certificate of proof for the extra set of barrels from Arrieta, S. L. CONDITION: Very good. Orig bbls show most of a professional re-black. Engraving is still sharp and clear. Second set of bbls show 99% of their orig blue. Receiver and lock plates show traces of orig case colors in protected areas. They are mostly silver gray. Trigger guard and top lever show 98% of a re-black. Stock shows most of a professional oil finish, with a few minor marks from handling. Checkering has been re-cut. Orig bbls are tight and on face, showing evidence of being professionally refit. Second set of bbls are tight and on face. Ejectors are in time. Case is as new. 4-35125 MGM10 (5,500-7,500)
