*LOT OF TWO SCARCE REMINGTON MODEL 11 SPORTSMAN RIOT SHOTGUNS. SN 486824 & 707162. Cal. 12 ga. Both shotguns are virtually identical with 20″ cylinder bore bbls, that have a “US” & flaming bomb over chamber areas & front left side of receivers. Receivers are also marked “MILITARY FINISH”. One bolt is simply marked “MODEL 11” and the other “THE SPORTSMAN”. Both are mounted in uncheckered American walnut with straight, smooth forearms & semi-pistol grip stocks with a small ordnance wheel & inspector initials “FJA” on left side. Both have Remington embossed mottled brown composition buttplates. Forearm on one shotgun is straight while on the Sportsman Model it has a slight rounded tip. CONDITION: Both are extremely fine with the Model 11 retaining 97-98% strong brushed blue military finish with minor sharp edge wear. It has been fired but very little. Sportsman Model retains 98-99% strong orig blue with minor sharp edge wear & a few minor storage marks in the wood, probably unfired.
