*FABULOUS MUFFOLINI ENGRAVED R1E SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 2311. Cal. 20 gauge. 29″ bbls with concave tapered rib with single silver sighting bead. 2-3/4″ chambers, IMP.CYL/MOD choke, ejectors, and double trigger. The rib is engraved, “Flli Rizzini – Mango V.T.” There is a modest chamber band of scroll engraving. Bbl flats are marked with, “20-70 Flli Rizzini”, and date coded 2006, with SN and, “BSA NY” The receiver and appended metals are fabulously engraved in a floral and foliate pattern with shaded background, and, “Flli Rizzini” in a ribbon across bottom. This absolutely fabulous engraving is signed on trigger plate by the master engraver, “Muffolini.” Mounted with a spectacular piece of exhibition walnut with checkered splinter forend, engraved tip, tear drop center escutcheon, engraved forend iron, checkered straight grip stock, 14-1/2″ to Skipline checkered butt plate. Bore diameter: left -.621, right -.620. Bore restrictions: left -.011, right -.007. Wall thickness: left -.035, right -.035. Drop at heel: 2″. Drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz. Housed in leather case and green canvas cover with leather trim. Case is lined in a green felt with makers label, factory fact sheet, and accessories. It should be noted that at current rates and being Muffolini engraved, this gun would take up three years to build, and cost at least $125,000. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine.
