*L.C. SMITH FIELD GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN FWE63872. Cal. 20 gauge. 26″ bbl. MOD/IMP-MOD. Single brass and ivory sighting bead. 2-3/4″ chambers w/ double trigger, and ejectors. Mounted w/ straight grain American walnut, checkered splinter forend, and checkered pistol grip stock w/ hard rubber pistol grip cap; 14-1/4″ over solid brown pachmeyr recoil pad. Bore restriction: left .017 right .011. Wall thickness: left .035 right .030. Bore diameter: left .615 right .613. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″. Drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight 6 lbs 2 oz CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 80-85% of orig. blue w/ usual light scratches and thinning through the carrying area. The feather weight frame is mostly a silver hardening color w/ case colors showing in protected areas, and right side plate has some freckling. Stock is sound w/ minor chip behind left lock plate, and slight hair line crack behind right lock plate. Finish is a fine hand rubbed oil finish. Someone attempted to clean checkering and has a few overruns in pistol grip area. Mechanics are fair w/ a minor problem w/ the right ejector currently not working.
