Bbl set #1 32″ matted vent rib with silver center and gold front sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, FULL/FULL choke, ejectors, and Hunter One Trigger. Set #2 28″ matted vent rib with silver center and gold front sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, IMP. CYL/CYL choke with ejectors. Engraved in standard specialty grade pattern with vignette of two quail on left plate and flying ducks on right surrounded by open foliate arabesque scroll. Mounted in fiddle-back American walnut with checkered beaver-tail fore end, checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap 14-1/8″ to serrated hard rubber butt plate. Set #1. Returned August 9, 1934 changed to 28″ bbls reproofed on August 27, 1934. Patterned on August 27, 1934, and reshipped August 31, 1934. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl set #1 retains 90-95% of their original blue with some muzzle wear, a few rub spots, and usual light nicks and dings. Set #2 retain 90-95% of the original blue with muzzle wear, a few rub spots, and a sequence of short light scratches on outside of left bbl. Receiver retains 45-50% original case coloring, stronger in protected areas with balance to a silver hardening color and blended at carrying point with some light brown patina. Stocks are sound, and appear to be a factory replacement and retain virtually all of their finish with just a few light handling marks with sharp clean checkering. Mechanics are crisp and bores are bright and shiny in both sets. 4-33272 BDT102 (6,500-8,500)
