*SCARCE SMITH & WESSON 44 HAND EJECTOR FIRST MODEL REVOLVER (TRIPLE LOCK). SN 6135. Cal. 44 Spcl. Also known as the 44 Hand Ejector New Century. This revolver has 6-1/2″ bbl with ejector rod shroud, tall partridge front sight with McGivern brass bead and adjustable rear sight. It has case colored trigger & hammer with diamond checkered, silver medallion walnut grips numbered to another revolver (No. 48751). Only produced in period 1908-1915. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching except grips, as noted. Overall retains 95-96% strong glossy orig factory blue with slight muzzle & sharp edge wear with a light cylinder drag line. There is a scratch on each side of the frame, probably from a holster rivet and there are slight halos around sideplate screws from too large a screwdriver. Mechanics are crisp & smooth, brilliant shiny bore. While this revolver has been fired it shows very little use. 4-32222 JR235 (3,000-5,000)
