MASSIVE UNTOUCHED, UNCLEANED DIRECT VETERAN GROUPING CONSISTING OF LUFTWAFFE GENERAL’S UNIFORM AND HEADGEAR, MEDALS, BADGES, FLAGS & FIREARMS ETC. This extensive grouping is right out of the proverbial “attic”, the likes of which collectors these days have dreams about! The Luftwaffe General’s tunic and pants are in excellent condition with virtually no damage and all insignia intact. The four-button, open collar (shows some discoloration) tunic features an interesting combination of sew-in celleon shoulder boards and bullion collar tabs and eagle. The collar is piped in fine gold bullion. The rank is for Gen. Maj. There are two sets of loops for badges and a long series of loops for a ribbon bar. The veteran spiced up the appearance by adding “his” United States ribbon bar plus one German medal (Cross of Honor 1914-1918). He also tucked an Officer’s aiguillette under the right sleeve. This tunic has a full rayon liner. The tunic and breeches are unnamed (as are most). The breeches have the correct wide white piping down the sides and have all the buttons present. There are zippers on the sides of each calf, one functions and the other is missing the pull. CONDITION: Both the tunic and accompanying breeches are in very fine condition. The headgear lot consists of one German Kreigsmarine (Navy) Officer’s formal “fore and aft” cap with bearskin material. This hat is somewhat misshapen but overall quite sound. There is a named Luftwaffe Officer’s summer white-topped Visor Cap made by Erel (Extra Model). This is crushed from being in a footlocker and missing chinstrap and buttons, but worthy of restoration. Another cap needing restoration, but with all the components is a German Navy NCO visor cap. The hat has been flattened but has the bullion eagle and wreath along with the patent leather chincord. There is a Model 1934 Double Decal Civic Fire-Police helmet intact and in sound shape. Rounding out the headgear is a very fine size 57-1/2 Weimer era Prussian Police officer’s shako in very fine shape. Awards and decorations consist of four (4) table awards form 1938-1939. Three of these are enameled. There is a Silver Tank Assault badge, plus an enameled Woman’s Helper Award and a Social Welfare Membership brooch. There are also five (5) “tinnies”. CONDITION: The medals and badges are in sound shape. The first of the flags nad banners is a one-sided banner with fringe that measures 30” across by 54” long (excellent shape). The second is a two-sided and measures approx. 28” x 30” and has some tears but is overall sound. The pistols consist of one very fine P-38 marked ‘byf 44’ and is complete with magazine ( FFL rewuired) and two antique European target pistols (as found, with some rust on finish). Miscellaneous items to round out this pure Veteran lot include a German Army buckle and a set of Luftwaffe Flak Officer’s collar tabs for a Captain. Also included are a sound Luger holster marked ‘P.08’ as well as ‘cdg44’, a spare P-38 clip, three 20mm shells with wooden heads (practice). Groupings like this seldom appear on the market anymore. 4-31029 (8,000-12,000)
