*CASED BROWNING MIDAS GRADE 4-BARREL SKEET SET. Cal. 12 ga., 20 ga., 28 ga. & 410. SN 5226S72. Fine Midas skeet set with four sets of 26-1/2” bbls choked SKEET/SKEET with ventilated ribs, dbl ivory beads, ejectors & gold plated sgl selective trigger. Mounted with very highly figured, flame grain, crotch cut, checkered American walnut with orig tapered, target forearm & a replacement buttstock with spearpoint carved & checkered wrist and raised side panels, 14-5/16” over an orig Browning waffle pad. Receiver and appended metal, along with about 2” over chambers of bbls are engraved in typical Midas patterns of three raised gold pheasants on left side, three raised gold ducks on right side and a raised gold quail on bottom with gold wire around the side vignettes. Left side vignette is signed “R. KOWALSKI” and left rear side of receiver “J.M. DEPREZ”. Accompanied by a tan leatherette covered, rnd corner, Browning case. Drop at heel: 2-1/8”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight with 20 ga. bbl: 7 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Retains most of its restored blue on all metal and about all of a custom finish on the wood. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. Case is fine. 4-30266 JR268 (8,000-12,000)
