*CASED W.W. GREENER EMPIRE GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 76557. Fine, boxlock Greener with 32” steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with tapered, concave, matted rib, sgl bead, Greener crossbolt rib extension, dbl underbites, extractor & dbl triggers. Mounted with nicely figured, flat checkered, English walnut with black wedge insert, splinter forearm & Prince of Wales rnd knob stock, 14-3/8” over a serrated hard rubber buttplate. Left side of wrist has the Greener thumb safety. Receiver has a light border engraving & maker’s name on each side. Accompanied by its orig, green felt lined, canvas & leather trunk case compartmented in bottom for shotgun, a 2-pc brass & wood cleaning rod, a Greener rnd nickeled oil bottle & cleaning tools. Also accompanying is orig hang tag & case keys. Consignor reports that this shotgun was obtained from a bank in New Jersey which, in many years past, had offered these shotguns as incentives to open bank accounts. Bore diameter: left – .731, right – .731. Bore restrictions: left – .038, right – .037. Wall thickness: left – .030, right – .034. Drop at heel: 2-1/8”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 7 lbs. 10.88 oz. CONDITION: Appears to be new & unfired, retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood with a few very minor handling & storage marks in the stock finish.
