SCARCE MODEL 1897 DOUBLE W WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE BOARD. This desirable and colorful cartridge board features an A B Frost vignette in the center depicting two bear hunters with a dead bear and Winchester rifles. On the right, a bull moose head and on the right a flying drake mallard. A fine board with exposed image with 226 items including rimfire & centerfire handgun & rifle cartridges, brass shotshells, paper shotshells, three window shotshells, primer & cap boxes and bullets. Face of board has the Winchester Reeating Arms Co. logo in red with advertising around the board. Mounted in a still intact and gold lined, oak frame. Orig backing paper has orig. label which states: “PRESENTED WITH COMPLIMENTS / OF THE / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / PLEASE HANG IN A PROMINENT PLACE”. SIZE: 63” wide x 46” high (incl. frame, 49” wide x 31-3/4” high (image only). CONDITION: Some fading but color generally strong. Scattered abrasions and fly specks with a few spots of discoloration particularly on the vignette. All cartridges are present.
