*EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 71 LEVER ACTION RIFLE Cal. 348. SN 617. Standard grade rifle with 24” tapered rnd bbl, Sheard ramp front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, mounted with amateur checkered straight-grain walnut with semi-beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. It has a deluxe forend cap. CONDITION: Good. Metal retains about 90% of an old reblue with light splatters of chemical spotting on bbl and fine rust on receiver. Stock has a repair by right upper tang, otherwise wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish with nicks, dings, scratches, and gouges. Mechanics are fine.
