*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL ’92 TRAPPER CARBINE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 998975. Standard grade carbine with rare 15” bbl, full magazine, square base front sight and Lyman 6A folding 2-leaf rear sight, 7-7/8” forearm. Receiver has a staple & ring in left side with the ring very carefully braided with old twine. Mounted with nicely figured, straight grain, uncheckered, American walnut with straight stock & carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain 50-60% orig blue, strong & bright in sheltered areas, turning to patina elsewhere. Receiver retains traces of orig blue, being mostly a cleaned, mottled silver/brown patina mixed with scattered fine surface pitting. Wood is sound with light nicks & scratches and has a hand worn patina. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. 4-30783 JR459 (4,000-5,000)
