*ENGRAVED REMINGTON MODEL 32OO TRAP GUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 32882. Spectacular custom engraved and gold inlayed trap gun with 30” vent rib bbls, choked FULL IMP/MOD. It has dbl beads with single selective trigger and ejectors. The wood is very nicely figured crotch cut walnut with checkered, large, square-end forearm and pistol grip stock, 14 1/2” over an original Brown Remington waffle pad. The original grip cap is mottled brown plastic. The receiver, trigger guard and forend iron are beautifully engraved in heavy Germanic style with vignettes of a pointer and three flushing pheasants all in raised gold in a field scene on the left side of the receiver. The right side has a similar vignette of a setter and three flushing quail in gold in a field scene and the bottom of the receiver has a smaller vignette of a raised gold retriever carrying a duck. The trigger bow has raised gold initials, in script, “DMS”. All the vignettes are outlined with gold wire and surrounded by about 80% coverage of foliate arabesque patterns with stippled background. The trigger bow, forend iron and about 1 1/2” up the top bbl and along with the flared sides of the mono block are identically engraved. The receiver, trigger guard, forend iron and sides of the mono lock are bright finished. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains most of its fine custom finish to both metal and wood with minor handling and storage marks with a couple of bruises on the buttstock. Lower bbl apparently has been opened to its current choke as it is marked “FULL”. Mechanics are fine. Brilliant shiny bores. A truly beautiful custom gun. 4-60273 (3,250-5,250)
