*PERAZZI TRAP GUN IMPORTED BY ITHACA. Cal. 12 ga. SN 35705. Fine trap gun with 29-1/4” bbls choked FULL/IMP-MOD with wide, stepped, flat, serrated rib with dbl silver beads & ejectors. It has the Ithaca information on one side over chamber & Perazzi information on other side. Receiver has sgl non-selective trigger & is mounted with very nicely figured, custom, checkered, beavertail forearm & thumbhole stock with long, sweeping, Monte Carlo comb & rosewood grip cap, 14-5/8” over a Pachmayr White Line pad. Accompanied by a Browning, brown leatherette, round corner case for a 2-bbl set. Bore diameter: top – .726, bottom – .725. Bore restrictions: top – .044, bottom – .028. Wall thickness: top – .029, bottom – .029. Drop at front of comb: 1-1/8”, drop at rear of comb: 1”. Weight: 9 lbs. 9.6 oz. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls retain about 98% strong orig blue with a spot of heavy pitting on bottom bbl under tip of forearm, with two or three other spots further back toward action. There is also pitting inside forend iron. Outside of forend iron also has some heavy pitting. There are other spots of pitting at top left corner where forearm touches bbl. There is also some fine pitting on breech face & top ejector. There are also spots of fine pitting around left rear edge of receiver where wood makes contact, leading one to suspect that this may be salt wood or certainly that it was stored in a very damp area. Receiver retains most of its orig, bright, factory case colors with about 96-97% of orig lacquer. Wood is sound with a heavy crackled finish & some loose varnish. Mechanics are fine, brilliant shiny bores. Case is fine. 4-56706 JR338 (1,500-2,500)
