PRUSSIAN LEIB-GENDARMERIE HELMET OF THE 1ST & 2ND ZUG. This helmet was used by the unit which served as the bodyguard for the Kaiser of the 1st Zug and Kiserina, 2nd Zug. This unit never consisted of more than 100 men and an officer who retained the uniform of the orig regiment. This helmet is believed to be a replica of the orig, extraordinarily rare helmet. This example mounts the spike top used for normal duty rather than the eagle used for parade. CONDITION: Helmet is generally in very good condition, but shows signs of use and has some minor surface rust. 4-60254 (1,500-2,000)
