PAIR OF PEANUT-SIZE DERINGER PERCUSSION PISTOLS. Cal. 40. NSN. Beautiful little pistols with 2″ ovoid shaped bbls mounted in checkered 1-pc walnut stocks with German silver furniture. They have back action locks with usual Deringer Philadelphia markings which is also on the top bbl flat along with “P” proofs on left side flats. There are two silver bands at breech end of bbls. Lockplates, hammers, top tangs & all of furniture are nicely engraved. CONDITION: Fine plus. Iron retains a smooth even brown patina. Stocks are fine showing light to moderate wear with some verdigris on edges of silver. Mechanics are fine with lightly corroded bores. 4-58998 JR7 (2,500-4,000)
