EARLY REMINGTON ROUND TOP NO 1 SPORTING RIFLE. SN 397. 44CF Cal. 28” oct bbl. The forearm tip is rounded iron, the buttplate is crescent iron. Standard 2-line markings on the upper tang. Folding leaf rear sight. Dovetail front sight with replaced German silver blade. CONDITION: Good. Strong traces of blue on the bbl mixed with light pitting and signs of cleaning. Light pitting also on the receiver. Oil stains on the wood around the action with minor repairs and signs of cleaning. Mechanically good. (Marcot Collection). 4-60165 FS660 (2,000-3,000)
