SCARCE W.P. UHLINGER & CO. POCKET REVOLVER WITH AMBROTYPE. Cal. 32 RF. SN 1746. Blued bbl & cyl, silver plated frame with “W.P. UHLINGER & Co / PHIL A” marked in front of cyl, 5” oct bbl, orig ejector rod, 2-pc smooth rosewood grips. This is a seldom encountered Uhlinger revolver marked with the Uhlinger name on it and is extremely scarce; most others made by this company are seen marked “D.D. CONE” or ‘W.L. GRANT” or “J.P. LOWER”. Accompanied by a Ambrotype print in a Littlefield, Parsons, & Co. gutta percha Union case of a Union soldier in uniform with the same model revolver lying on table. CONDITION: Nearly excellent. 85% blue overall, worn on the edges with a strong drag line on the cyl. 90% silver on frame. Slightly faded casehardening colors on hammer. Grips have light wear on sharp edges around the bottom. Bore is good. Action is fine. Case & image are excellent. 4-59409 JH97 (1,000-1,500)
