RARE REMINGTON BEALS NAVY 1ST MODEL PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. SN 157. Blued finish, 7-1/2” oct bbl with two line marking “BEALS’ PATENT. SEPT. 14.1858 / MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS’ ILION, N.Y.”, & ”N.Y.” on top of bbl, dovetail cone front sight, brass triggerguard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips. This revolver is from the first production run of the spring of 1861. It is called “The Single Wing Cylinder Pin Model” with extension pin. Limited production of approx. 350. CONDITION: Good. All metal surfaces have been cleaned & patina enhanced. Grips show considerable wears & have been re-varnished. Bore is dark. Mechanically good. 4-59378 JH136 (1,750-2,750)
