REMINGTON OLD MODEL PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Perc. SN 13771. Blued finish, 8” oct bbl, Beals markings on bbl, dovetail cone front sight, silvered brass triggerguard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips. The “C” mark on bbl, “B” on triggerguard, & “H” on frame indicates that the bbl, originally assigned to a Beals Army model, was condemned, renumbered & matched to an old model Army frame circa 1870’s. This revolver is an example of the factory use of Civil War parts inventory to make up revolvers for the civilian trade. The silvered triggerguard & varnished grips are standard for commercial production. Unusual revolver. CONDITION: Very good. 30% blue mixed with light pitting on bbl. 50% blue on loading lever and silver on triggerguard. Light casehardening on hammer, & traces of blue on frame. Bore is lightly pitted. Mechanically tight. 4-59376 JH137 (1,750-2,250)
