ANTIQUE BOWIE KNIFE AND SHEATH BY GEORGE NIXON & SON, SHEFFIELD. This 19th C. Bowie w/9-1/2” blade measures 14” overall. It has a stag antler handle and a German silver guard. The blade with clip point and what appears to be the orig leather scabbard with old brass decorative tacks mounted. SIZE: 15” long (overall in scabbard). CONDITION: Blade has been sharpened plenty of times, otherwise structurally sound. The scabbard with scuffs and abrasions but generally supple and sound. 4-56592 (1,750-2,750)
