WHITNEY ARMS DBL BBL PERCUSSION SHOTGUN. Cal. 14 bore. SN 346. Unusual American made percussion dbl with 30-1/4″ steel bbls with smooth concave rib with sgl bead and the maker’s name & address with patent numbers toward the breech end. Wood is nicely figured American walnut with splinter forearm & straight stock, 13-3/4″ over a smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: Good to very good. Metal retains a mottled, cleaned silver/brown patina with scattered pitting. Mechanics are fine. There is a crack in the wrist, otherwise the wood is sound with minor chips missing from the bbl channel and retains traces of orig finish. 5-60339 JR63 (500-1,000)
