PARKER DH GRADE HAMMER DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 11848. Built on a #2 frame with 30″ Damascus steel bbls choked MOD/MOD with tapered smooth rib, sgl bead & extractors. Lockplates are lightly engraved with a bird dog on each side, light border & scattered arabesque patterns and a bird on the bottom. Hammers & top tang are engraved to match. Trigger bow is engraved with a bird dog. Fences have a deep sgl scallop around each firing pin with shallow scalloped ridges on the outside edges. Wood is very nicely figured streaky French or English walnut with a checkered splinter forearm with wedge & Prince of Wales style rnd knob stock with raised tear drop side panels, 13-3/4″ over a checkered skeleton buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain about 90% strong Damascus pattern with thinning at the muzzle edges and over the forearm area. Receiver & lockplates retain 75-80% orig case colors, brilliant in the sheltered areas. Wood is sound with very minor nicks & scratches and a large repair at the toe. Forearm & front half of the buttstock retain most of their orig finish while the back half of the buttstock has been restored, apparently during the repair. Mechanics are fine.
