*RARE PARKER AH GRADE DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 12 ga. SN 95986. Fine Damascus set, built on a #2 frame with two sets of extremely fine pattern Damascus steel 30″ bbls. Both have tapered matted ribs, one with dbl ivory beads & one with sgl silver bead, doll’s head extensions, extractors & dbl triggers. It is mounted in highly figured Claro walnut with two checkered forearms & pistol grip stock with raised checkered side panels, 13-5/8″ over a dog’s head buttplate. Grip cap has an unmarked gold inlay. Receiver & trigger guard have nine game scene vignettes consisting of bird dogs & pheasant on the left side with ducks on the left fence, bird dogs & partridge on the right side with partridge on the right fence. Bottom of the receiver has a bird dog on point with two deer on the floorplate & two bird dogs on the trigger bow, all surrounded by very fine patterns of foliate arabesque engraving. Maker’s name is very small on a ribbon on each side. Drop at the heel 2-1/2”, drop at the comb 1-1/2”. Bore restrictions: (1) left – .011, right – .002; (2) left – .030, right – .032. Weight 7 lbs 4.1 oz/30” bbl: CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls #1 retain about 85% thin orig Damascus pattern, worn bright over the chamber areas with a nick in the right muzzle. Bbls #2 retain about 90% orig Damascus pattern, strong & bright with good brown color over about 2/3 of the bbl with the chamber ends thinned & turning bright. Receiver & wood retain most of a fine professionally restored finish, probably by Del Grego. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores. 5-60430 JR459 (12,500-17,500)
