*CASED RENATO GAMBA DBL BBL SHOTGUN WITH SAUDI ROYALTY CONNECTIONS. Cal. 20 ga. SN A32911. This shotgun is from the collection of Prince Faisal M. Al Saud of Saudi Arabia. Mannlicher Ambassador model with 28″ bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with tapered, flat, hand matted rib with sgl ivory bead, dbl chopper lump, ejectors & sgl non-selective trigger. It is mounted in spectacular marble cake honey & chocolate circassian walnut with checkered splinter forearm & straight stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-1/2″ over a checkered butt. Forearm has the maker’s gold crest in the center, along with a curious teardrop shaped inlay in the other diamond. Receiver & lockplates are high polish royal blue with simple, extremely fine, gold wire borders with engraved sunbursts around the screw heads & the maker’s name in gold on each side. Maker’s name & address are in gold on the bottom and there is a beautiful royal crest in gold with the initials “RGA”, also in gold, on the trigger bow. 7-pin sidelocks have gold line cocked indicators and top tang has “SIGURA” in gold. Accompanied by a typewritten letter on Prince Saud’s letterhead dated “3-17-93” certifying that this shotgun, listed by serial number, was part of the Prince’s collection of approximately $2,500,000 worth of guns. It is signed by Sam Singer who states that he worked for the prince as manager of his company, Yamamah, Ltd., for fifteen years. Also accompanied by a brown leather, red ultra-suede, lined trunk case with maker’s label in the lid and a brass plate in scribed “H.R.H. PRINCE FAISAL M. AL SAUD / SAUDI ARABIA” on the lid of the parts box. Drop at the heel 2-3/16″, drop at the comb 1-3/8″. Bore restrictions: left – .024, right – .017. Weight: 6 lbs. 4.8 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. May have been fired but if so, very little. Retains virtually all of its high polish blue on the metal and hand rubbed finish on the wood. Mechanics are fine, brilliant shiny bores. Case is lightly nicked, dinged & scratched on the exterior with some light soiling to the lining and with a repaired partition. 4-56382 JR583 (15,000-20,000)
