WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 94292. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct bbl, full magazine with half nickel front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock & crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain all of a fine professionally restored finish. Receiver retains about 30% faded case colors, primarily on the left side with the balance turned silver. There is a scratch on the right side of the receiver. Wood is sound, missing a small chip by the top tang & has a bruise on the bottom and retains most of an old restored finish. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with light pitting. 4-56460 JR656 (3,000-5,000)
