COLT LARGE FRAME LIGHTNING PUMP ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 40-60-260. SN 6150. Fine standard grade rifle with 28″ oct bbl, full magazine, altered German silver Rocky Mountain front sight & standard semi-buckhorn rear sight. Buttstock is straight grain American walnut, uncheckered, with straight grip & crescent buttplate and is made without a safety. Forearm is checkered 2-pc. walnut. Receiver has a rampant Colt on the left side. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain 94-95% strong bright orig blue with a few spots of scattered light surface rust & slight thinning over the chamber area. Receiver retains about 50% thinning orig blue, turning plum on the top & silver on the bottom. Wood is sound with the buttstock having a couple of small gouges & retains a fine hand rubbed patina. Forearm has a couple of minor nicks in the checkering, otherwise retains most of its orig varnish. Mechanics are fine, strong bore with moderate pitting.
