WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 38-55. SN 92419. Antique with 20″ rnd bbl, full magazine, square base front sight & carbine ladder rear sight. Left side of the receiver has a stud & ring and the wood is straight grain walnut, uncheckered, with straight grip & carbine buttplate. This rifle appears to have been built in 1897 but it has a “WP” proof on top of the receiver. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Appears to have a complete factory restored finish. Overall the metal retains about 96% bright blue with light wear on the bottom of the receiver. Lever & hammer are blue instead of their orig case colored finish. Wood is sound with a minor few scattered nicks. Crisp mechanics, very bright shiny bore. Roger & Gerald Wilde Collection 4-55353 JR221 (2,000-4,000)
