*RARE SPECIAL ORDER DELUXE TAKEDOWN WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE WITH TWO BBLS. Cal. 32 WS & 38-55. SN 189302. Fine deluxe rifle with both bbls 26″. 32 Spcl. bbl is oct to rnd with half magazine, half-nickel front sight with screw and a 32 Smokeless rear sight with a spring loaded Marbles tang sight. 38-55 bbl is full oct with a cut-down magazine and a filled magazine band dovetail on the bottom. It has a Lyman ivory bead front sight and a Lyman 6A folding rear sight and is from an earlier rifle. Wood is beautifully grained 2-3X center crotch cut fame grain American walnut with “H” style checkered forearm & capped pistol grip stock with crescent buttplate. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum yellow sheet fully identifying this rifle with only the 32 Spcl. bbl and indicating shipment 11-3-1903 to order #209547. CONDITION: Rifle with 32 Spcl. bbl is extremely fine with the bbl, forend cap & magazine retaining 96-98% strong bright orig blue. Takedown ring retains most of its orig blue turning plum on the bottom half. Receiver retains about 95-96% strong orig blue with fine edge wear and turning slightly plum on the bottom front and raised area of the sides. Lever & hammer retain most of their orig case colors fading to silver on the outside edge. Wood is sound with light handling & storage marks and retains most of its orig factory finish. Entire rifle has a coating of heavy old dried oil or wax. 38-55 bbl as previously mentioned retains about 90% strong orig blue turning slightly plum. Forend cap retains about 90% case colors and the forearm shows moderate wear with nicks & dings and retains about 85% of an old restored finish. Mechanics are crisp, both bores are bright & shiny.
