INDIAN MADE EARLY 20TH C. TO LATE 19th C. SOUTHERN PRAIRIE VEST. Commercial leather vest decorated with two matching, classic “Prairie” Indian beaded motifs. Such curvilinear designs are characteristic of a group of tribes from Southern Wisconsin to Eastern Oklahoma, including among others the Winnebago, Sauk, Fox, Potawatomi, Ioway, and Otoe. In addition, a beaded buffalo adorns each lapel. Size: 26” tall x 19” wide. Stamped on inside top “101 Ranch”. Driebe 1997, pg 330.
