NICKEL-PLATED JOSLYN CIVIL WAR CARBINE. SN 5931. Cal. 50 RF. 22” rnd bbl. Markings on the lockplate are faint. The cartouches on the left stock flat are faint. These plated carbines were usually considered to be Navy guns, but this one does not appear to have Navy markings. This may be a factory exhibition piece. CONDITION: Retains 80% of the nickel-plating. Stock is sharp. Mechanically fine. 4-57238 (2,500-3,500)
