SMALL “GRICE” FLINTLOCK FOWLING PIECE. Cal. 62. 41-3/4” part oct bbl. The lock is marked “Grice” vertically at the rear of the lock. “LONDON” is stamped on top of the bbl. There are proof marks on the upper left flat of the bbl including Grice’s private proof. The side plate is the dragon usually found on trade guns, but this has none of the other features, except the nailed buttplate. CONDITION: Brown patina with light to moderate pitting. Stock has been repaired and refinished. Mechanically good. 4-57288 (1,000-2,000)
