WHITNEY MODEL 1816 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal. 69. 42” rnd bbl. Marked only “N.HAVEN.” in a scroll on lockplate. There is a “P” proofmark in a sunken cartouche on top of the bbl and a square condemnation mark on the right side of the bbl above the touchhole. “SN” or “NL” inspector cartouche on the left counter plate. CONDITION: Fine. Light surface rust overall and small areas of heavier pitting. Wood has normal light handling marks with sharp edges remaining. Mechanically good.
