FRENCH MODEL 1808 CONTRACT MUSKET. Cal. 69. 44-1/2” rnd bbl. Dated “1811” on the tail of the lockplate. Standard French markings on the lockplate. There is a faint two-lobe cartouche on the left side of the stock, but it is unreadable. CONDITION: All metal surfaces have been polished, but moderate to heavy pitting remains. Stock is good, with minor pits and cracks. Mechanically good. 4-56344 FS175 (2,000-3,000)
