LOT OF U.S. CIVIL WAR INSIGNIA.

LOT OF U.S. CIVIL WAR INSIGNIA. 1) Enlisted infantry horn insignia complete with wire loops. Excellent surplus condition. 2) Enlisted cavalry crossed saber insignia. Very good condition with several creases. Only one of four loops remains. 3) Pair of Smith Patent Captain straps. Velvet backgrounds appear buff but under edges, they are faded blue. Several bends in false embroidered borders. Fading to wool nap. 4) Pair of infantry First Lieutenant straps. Wool nap backgrounds almost totally missing, probably due to moth damage, but backgrounds still have nice, blue color. Fraying of bullion borders, scattered moth damage to backing. 5) Mismatched pair of Captain straps. One being Smith patent, dbl bordered Captain of infantry. Other being bullion dbl bordered Captain of cavalry. 4-56163-4 JS189 (500-1,000)
