JAPANESE SHINTO WAKIZASHI. 15 ¼” shinogi zukuri blade. Nakago ubu, and signed “NORIMITSU”. SIZE: 24 ½” long overall. MOUNTS: Iron tsuba with brass inlayed leaves. Plain iron fuchi, menuki of playful shi-shi lions having gilt highlights. Black lacquered saya with a grain design and a little powdered abalone sprinkles. CONDITION: Blade roughly stoned and nothing is clear. Tsuka ito damaged in one area. Kashira missing. Saya has numerous nicks and several large chips out. Koguchi damaged, kozuka missing from its pocket. 4-54992-1 GA17 (200-300)
