IMPERIAL GERMAN PILOT’S GROUP. Consists of pilot’s hard-shell flying helmet, goggles, 3/4-length leather flying jacket, uniform cap, and cigarette case. The helmet, named to pilot VZ/W (Sgt. Major) Paul V. Bruckner, is well marked inside. A pilot’s badge is affixed to the silver hallmarked and numbered cigarette case. An inscription on the reverse “I will not forget the good time we had” appears in German. Provenance: The cigarette case was once part of the Charles Donald collection.
