*ITHACA CLASSIC MODEL 4E DBL BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. SN 470173. Fine new-made Ithaca with 28″ bbls, choked MOD/IMP-CYL with concave hand matted rib and single ivory bead with rib extension and single lump. It has dainty boxlock receiver, gold-plated dbl triggers with ejectors. The receiver, opening lever and trigger guard are beautifully engraved with the vignettes of a flying duck on the left side, a pheasant on the right side and a woodcock on the bottom. All surrounded with floral and foliate arabesque pattern engraving. The maker’s name is also on the bottom surrounding the woodcock vignette. It is fitted with beautiful highly figured center crotch cut walnut with fleur-de-lis checkered forearm with wedge insert tip and dbl fleur-de-lis checkered straight stock, 15-1/2″ over a leather covered pad. Accompanied by its orig 2-pc cardboard box. Bore restrictions: left – .016, right – .004. Drop at the heel 2-3/16″, drop at the comb 1-3/8″. Weight 6 lb 3.1 oz. CONDITION: As new, appears to be unfired, retaining virtually all of its factory orig finish to both metal and wood with brilliant case colors on the receiver. Crisp mechanics and brilliant bores.
