LOT OF TWO EARLY CARTRIDGE PISTOLS. (1) American Arms Swivel Breech, Cal. 22 & 32 RF, SN 1231. Wheeler’s patent 2-shot pistol with 3″ bbl cluster having a 22 on one side and a 32 on the other side. It has flat-sided brass frame with square butt rosewood grips. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains traces of orig finish being mostly a silver/gray patina with scattered spots of light surface rust. Frame retains 30-40% thin orig silver-plating. Grips have a chipped toe and retain about 70% varnish. Strong bright bores with moderate pitting in the 32 bbl, good mechanics. (2) Unmarked tiny derringer, Cal. 22, SN 0618. Has family resemblance to a number of other tiny derringers. It has 2-1/2″rnd bbl, flat sided with flat side frame, spur trigger & bird head 2-pc walnut grips. It is nickel finish without front sight. The front of the frame is squared off with a large screw Colt-type pivot. CONDITION: Fine. Retains about 90% nickel, 75% varnish on the grips. Dark bore. Will not hold on safety notch and trigger return spring is broken. 4-54234 4-54246 JR404 (500-800)
