WATERS MODEL 1835 CONVERSION MUSKET.

WATERS MODEL 1835 CONVERSION MUSKET. CAL. 69. 42” rnd bbl, dated 1836 at the tail of the lockplate. The lockplate is marked “US / A. WATERS” in front of the hammer and “MILLBURY” above the date at the tail of the lock. “NEW HAMPSHIRE” is stamped on the upper left side of the bbl where proof marks are usually found. An oval cartouche on the left side of the stock is unreadable. This is a standard Belgium type conversion with a nipple screwed into the bbl, which is now missing. The ramrod is a replacement. CONDITION: Heavy crusty rust on the lock and rear of the bbl, otherwise medium rust. Stock shows normal handling marks. Mechanically needs work.
