*COLT MEDIUM FRAME LIGHTNING RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). SN 85421. Standard grade rifle with 26” rnd bbl, full magazine, Beach’s combination front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has uncheckered straight grain American walnut wood with plain 2-pc forearm that has an incised line border, and straight stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Good to very good. Traces of original blue remain in sheltered areas and on the sides of the receiver with the balance a smooth dark brown patina. Forearm has a crack on each side and the wood shows heavy wear with numerous nicks, dings and scratches. There is a crack through the toe adjacent to the bottom of the buttplate screw. Mechanics are fine, strong bore, dark in the grooves. 4-52586 JR325 (500-1,000)
