RARE IVER JOHNSON TRIGGER OPENING SINGLE BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 5398. Fine old single with 28” plain full choke bbl with small brass bead. The wood is straight grain American walnut with splinter forearm and capped semi-pistol grip stock with Iver Johnson hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains about 90% original blue and the receiver about 50% case colors, slightly faded with the balance turned silver. Stock has nine notches on the left side by the lower tang and ten on the right side and has light handling and use marks and retains about 90% bright original varnish. Good mechanics, bright shiny bore. 4-52791 JR453 (200-300)
