*REMINGTON #4 ROLLING BLOCK TAKE DOWN RIFLE. Cal. 22 Short or Long. SN J290008. Fine little rifle with 22-1/2” tapered oct bbl, brass bead front sight and standard adjustable Remington rear sight. The wood is straight grain American walnut with long splinter forearm and straight stock with Remington marked smooth buttplate. CONDITION: About very good. Bbl retains 85-90% strong original blue with light to moderate surface rust and pitting. Receiver retains 60-70% faded case colors, also with light surface rust. Wood is sound with normal handling and use marks and retains most of its original varnish. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with light orange peel pitting in front of the chamber. 4-52898 JR422 (300-500)
