*ENGRAVED SMITH & WESSON MODEL 27-2 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 357 Mag. SN N673285. Blue finish, with 6” bbl, Partridge front sight, adjustable rear sight, target trigger & hammer, with 2-pc extended ivory grips. This revolver is beautifully engraved with about “D” coverage, very well executed foliate arabesque patterns with punch dot background. The engraving extends over both sides of the bbl, the ejector rod housing, cylinder, frame, trigger guard & back strap. It appears that the engraving was originally accomplished to accommodate magnum grips, which were subsequently replaced with the ivories. The grips are made in three pieces that extend 3/4” below the butt with the third piece a spacer in the bottom. Accompanied by a Smith & Wesson mahogany case with custom lining and hasp. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Appears unfired since engraving, retaining virtually all its exceptional custom blue. Grips are fine with a wonderful light mellow ivory color. Bright shiny bore.
