LOT OF TWO WESTERN MOTIF CIGAR BOXES. 1) “Cowboy” wooden box with paper cover, and “1901” tax stamp. The lid has a central motif of a gold ink cowboy in early hat and neckerchief aiming a 6-shooter. Inside the lid and the end label have a full color picture of the cowboy with the notation below “HITS THE MARK”. CONDITION: Lid slightly warped, soiled and stained but intact, worn edges with some slight losses to the paper on the outside. Inside the lid has bright vivid colors. 2) Pony Post wooden cigar box with an oval label on top of a Pony Express rider. Inside the lid has a more detailed full color picture with buildings and the post office in the background and a stagecoach. CONDITION: Lid is detached, soiled, with losses of edge label. Inside is vivid bright colors with a couple of spots of water stain and light soil. 4-50864 JR1127 (200-400)
