LOT OF TWO POWDER HORNS. 1). Large decorated horn, approx. 15” long of light green cow’s horn with early decoration of vines, fishes and a human figure also a snake or sea serpent. Initials “SFW” are carved near spout end. It has a flat base plug secured with small iron nails and a staple for carrying strap. CONDITION: Fine, all markings are visible, no bug damage. 2). Flat priming horn about 7 1/2” with convex wood plug and a duck bill carved spout with copper and brass mechanical spout. Two brass hanger rings. CONDITION: Very fine. 4-48976 JR758 (100-200)
